The Tomball Christian HomeSchool Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Atlas HomeSchool Rattlers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Atlas HomeSchool took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tomball Christian HomeSchool, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Tomball Christian HomeSchool turned things around against TMI-Episcopal on Friday. They blew past the Panthers 52-21. The contest marked the Warriors’ most dominant victory of the season.

Tomball Christian HomeSchool’s win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Goodie, who rushed for 84 yards and one score on only nine carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. Luke Harrison was in the mix as well, providing the Warriors with one TD.

Tomball Christian HomeSchool didn’t go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ian StavinohaZephaniah Villagomez, and Kace Goodie picked up one apiece. Villagomez is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he’s now made five or more in each of the last six games he’s played. Tomball Christian HomeSchool received some extra help from Harrison, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Atlas HomeSchool ended up a good deal behind First Baptist on Friday and lost 41-26. The Rattlers were down 35-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Tomball Christian HomeSchool will have to contain Timmy Thames as he made an impact in Atlas HomeSchool’s last game. He threw for 368 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground.

This is the second loss in a row for Atlas HomeSchool and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Tomball Christian HomeSchool, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Friday’s matchup might be decided on the ground. Tomball Christian HomeSchool has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 153.2 rushing yards per game. However, it’s not like Atlas HomeSchool struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging an even more impressive 181.9 rushing yards. There’s a good chance Friday’s game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everything came up roses for Tomball Christian HomeSchool against Atlas HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 42-6 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Rattlers have a new game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
