Tomball Christian Warrior History

The Tomball Christian Warrior football and cheer program was formed in 2009 with a vision to provide a place for homeschool athletes to play competitive football in the Tomball area.

For the first four seasons the Warriors competed in 6-man football in the Texas Christian Athletic League (TCAL), winning a State Championship in 2012.

National Champions

For the start of the 2013 Season, the Warriors transitioned to TCAL's 11-man Division. The Warrior's Junior High team (formed in 2010) also transitioned into competitive 11-man football.

Since transitioning to 11-man football in 2013, the Warriors continue to strive for excellence on the field and have competed for a State Championship in both 2013 and 2014.

Along with football, TCW has offered a Cheer program since 2009 to respond to the needs of the homeschool community in the Tomball, Montgomery, Magnolia Cypress and Spring area.

In the 2020 Season the Warriors earned the opportunity to compete in the National Championship Bracket. They beat the number 1 ranked team Tulsa NOAH in the semi-final game and eventually lost to Georgia Force by 3 points in the Championship Game.

In the 2021 Season the Warriors returned to the National Championship Bracket ranked #2. They beat Georgia Force in the Semi Final and faced the Lighthouse Christian Chargers in the championship where they fell short on a last minute drive ending in a 24-27 loss and final National Standing as the second best Homeschool Football Team in the country for the second year.

At the end of the season the Varsity Cheerleaders travelled back to Florida where they competed in in the FCC National Championship for the first time ever. They hit every stunt and tumbling pass gaining "Hit Zero" for both performances. And finished as the national runner up!!!

In the 2023 Season the Warriors Returned to the National Championship Bracket ranked #4. They beat the defending National Champions, Tulsa NOAH Jaguars in the semi-final and then defeated the #2 ranked Christ Prep Patriots to earn their first NHFA D1 National Championship.

At the end of the season the Warrior Cheer Competition team travelled to Orlando and earned a Bronze Medal at the FCC National Championships.

TCW also organizes a Homecoming dance to correspond with the Warriors Homecoming Game. The dance has become one of the organizations largest events during the year, bringing in Homeschoolers from all around the NW Houston area.

The TCW mission continues to be focused on building Godly men and women through athletics in all the sports and activities offered.
