OVERVIEW

Tomball Christian Warriors (TCW) provides financial aid for participation fees to children, who without financial assistance would be unable to participate in TCW sports programs.  In certain cases, the financial aid may also help with basic equipment required to participate in TCW sports.

TCW is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with limited funding available for financial aid.  No guarantee of assistance is implied by this application.  The financial aid will be awarded based on the review and recommendation of the TCW Financial Aid Committee and final approval by the TCW Board.  TCW does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion or disability in its program and activities.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Requirements for eligibility:

  • Athletes must meet the Homeschool requirement as written in the Warrior Commitment Form signed during registration.
  • Athletes and families must follow the additional guidelines as written in the Warrior Commitment Form signed during registration.
  • Parents/Guardians commit that the athlete will make every effort to attend all scheduled practices and games (exceptions include doctor excused illnesses/injuries).
  • Parents/Guardians agree to honor their Volunteer commitment for games, water duty and TCW sponsored events.  NO financial aid will be provided for Opt-Out fees.
  • The maximum amount awarded per recipient family is $500.00 per calendar year.  
  • Athletes/Parents/Guardians are strongly encouraged to participate in team fundraisers to help off-set any fees.
  • TCW Family must be in good standing and all prior fees paid in full.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Please provide the following required information: 

  • Provide one recommendation letter by Homeschool Co-Op Administrator, social worker or social service representative, or a member of the clergy.
  • Provide a written statement of immediate financial hardship explaining the current situation.  Please provide any supporting documentation that may support the facts in your financial hardship statement, including assistance from programs such as:  Food Stamps, Medicaid, SSI, Foster Care, WIC, etc. 
  • Complete the application form with all required information, review and sign the Terms and Conditions statement.

 

PROCEDURE

Financial aid requests must be submitted to TCW as soon as possible no later than May 30, 2026 upon the registration process in order to be considered.  

A parent, guardian, or head of household must complete the application, with all requested information provided.  All items on the Financial Aid Terms and Conditions must be initialed and the form must be signed and dated.

The TCW Financial aid Committee will consider all financial aid applications completed with all necessary documentation and received by the deadline provided.

TCW recognizes that a family may not be receiving formal assistance from the programs mentioned above, yet financial assistance may still be needed to participate in a TCW Sports Program.  In these instances, the TCW Financial aid Committee will consider the financial hardship statement to determine financial aid eligibility.

The amount of the financial aid awarded (if any) may be a partial or full financial aid depending on the number applicants, amount of financial aid funds available.

All financial aid application information will be kept strictly confidential by the TCW Financial Aid Committee

The parent, guardian or head of household will be notified in either case of a financial aid being awarded or not.

Approval or a registration financial aid does not register the participant in the activity.  Athlete must still register online or in person for the TCW team for which the financial aid was awarded.

Incomplete or late applications may be denied at the discretion of the TCW Financial Aid Committee or TCW Board.
