If Tomball Christian HomeSchool was feeling good fresh off their 52-21 takedown of TMI-Episcopal last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Atlas HomeSchool Rattlers by a score of 35-33 on Friday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rattlers apparently hadn’t forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Tomball Christian HomeSchool, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ian Stavinoha, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Tomball Christian HomeSchool’s defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Luke Harrison was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three himself. Another thorn in Atlas HomeSchool’s side was Jacob Muhle, who picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles.

Atlas HomeSchool had a senior duo take command as Alex Davis gained 203 total yards and three touchdowns and Timmy Thames rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns. Thames has become a key player for the Rattlers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-8 otherwise.

Tomball Christian HomeSchool has been struggling recently as they’ve lost four of their last five games. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. Those defeats can’t be blamed on the team’s offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.6 points over those games. As for Atlas HomeSchool, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-8.

As of now, neither Tomball Christian HomeSchool nor the Rattlers have any future games scheduled.
