Hello Warrior Nation!!!

And welcome to May! It has been exciting to see ALL of the teams in action. From Flag Football games, Spring Ball Practice, Competitive Cheer, Sideline Cheer and all of our Volunteer crews out there. Thank you to those of you that were able to attend Sideline Manager and Chain gang training. We’ll be rolling out more training in the next couple of weeks for scoreboard, stats, film and more. The success of our organization can be attributed to each of our families and the countless hours they spend volunteering for various assigments throughout the season.  This is especially important as our organization continues to grow. If you’ve been to a practice recently where everyone is together you’ve probably wondered How many athletes are there?

Flag Footbal – almost 20

Cheer – just short of 40

JH Football – almost 40

and Highschool – almost 60!!!

And we still expect the football side to grow more by the start of the Fall Season.

Blue/Orange Game and Raffle

We’re just at 2 Weeks away from our Blue/Orange Game that will be played at Rosehill Christian School on May 17th. Which means we have less than 2 weeks to raise as much as we can through our Raffle, Silent Auction and general donations site! So support your favorite athletes and let’s hit that goal of $25,000 raised! We’re closing in on that first $5k with the Silent Auction still to open on May 7th! If you’re not individually participating as an athlete, please share the organization’s page and help us hit our Goal!

Cheer Leadership Announcements

Recently, several of the Varsity Cheerleaders completed their auditions and interviews for various Leadership positions. It was an absolute honor to be involved in the process and I am truly amazed with all of the young women not only in these positions for the season but those additional leaders that they are surrounded by.

Please join me in congratulating these young women.

Summer Workouts

As we approach the end of Spring Ball we’ll have a great foundation for all of the athletes to build upon. A little bit or rest, recovery, healing and then back to the grind in preparation for the season. What you do this summer will directly impact the season. All athletes should continue to train, hydrate, meet up and work on their nutrition this summer. There are several resources available to our athletes.

Several athletes will be taking advantage of Planet Fitness’ Free Summer Pass (High School Summer Pass is just for teens 14-19) https://www.planetfitness.com/summerpass/preregistration

You can also find Cheer and Football Camps at https://register.ryzer.com/

In addition, this summer don’t forget to take advantage of our Speed and Agility Training. This program is available to all of our athletes and family members and is included as a part of your registration. All athletes should be committed to being there. This year we are excited to announce that Coach Derrick Brew will be leading our training this season. If that name sounds familiar it may be because of one of the following reasons:

  • Graduated from Klein Forest High School and LSU
  • Owner of Next Level Performance
  • Coached Highschool athletes recruited to both D1 Track and Football programs.

If those don’t ring a bell, then you might recognize him because of his Olympic Bronze Medal in the open 400m and Olympic Gold in the 4x400m relay in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. We are extremely blessed to have him working with our families this summer!  More to come!

Faith, Honor, Warrior Strong

Finally, all families are invited to join us at a Prayer Gathering at The Depot in Tomball at noon this Thursday as a part of the National Day of Prayer.

We also ask that you continue to pray for our Organization, Executive Board, Coaches, Athletes, Families and supporters. May we continue to Glorify the Lord in all that we do.

May God continue to Bless you all,

Paul Resurreccion
