About the Author: Claire Alderson

I interviewed eighth grade starter Charlie Bowman for the seventh part of our Get to Know the Eighth Graders series.

Claire: Do you have a pregame routine?
Charlie: Not really.
Claire: What do you listen to pregame? Do you have a playlist or genre you like?
Charlie: No.
Claire: What position do you play?
Charlie: Center.
Claire: What do you enjoy about that position?
Charlie: I’m almost as important or equal with the Quarterback. ‘Cause without the Center the play can’t commence.
Claire: How long have you been a part of TCW?
Charlie: This would be my second year.
Claire: How did you hear of TCW?
Charlie: I think my parents heard of it from another homeschool family.
Claire: What teammates stand out to you as football players?
Charlie: I would say Drake [Olson], Maddox [Obregon], and… It’s hard to choose they’re all good in their own ways.
Claire: Do you have a favorite TCW related memory?
Charlie: All my memories with TCW are great.
Claire: Do you have any football nicknames?
Charlie: Chuckles.
Claire: Where is your favorite place to eat after a game?
Charlie: Wherever the team dinner is. It’s fun to kick back and relax with all the other guys.
Claire: Do you have any hobbies other than football?
Charlie: Not really.
Claire: What is your favorite color?
Charlie: Blue.
Claire: What is your favorite school subject?
Charlie: Bible.
Claire: What do you love about football?
Charlie: The ability to hit someone without getting in trouble.
Claire: What do you love about your team?

Charlie: It’s not much of a team. It’s a brotherhood of guys who come out to kick tail.
