What an amazing season it was for our young Junior High Warriors team. The completed their season with a 10-2 record and a State Championship. Building up this program has been another gracious gift from above. In moving forward towards a longterm vision for the orgnaization and fielding a full JV team this season, the JH team would be left as the big question mark on the season. And boy were those questions answered.

Coach Pellerin summed it up best in his message to the team after their State Championship Victory.

All Glory, Honor, Praise and Thanksgiving be unto God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit – as it was in the beginning, is now and shall be forever, His Kingdom without end.   Amen.

Congratulations JH Warrior Nation – you did it!  You are TCSAAL STATE CHAMPS.  You are the cream of the crop in Texas in a league that consists of Charter, Independent and Home School Programs throughout the state.  Texans enjoy a reputation for playing some darn good football.  So, this was no easy task.  Well done, gentlemen – you have the admiration and respect of every one of our opponents and every TCW JH coach that has been blessed to lead you on our journey this year.  Thank you for trusting and embracing the process and for believing in each other – at times, it was not easy.   Please know this – you brought more joy to the coaches than you can imagine.

To our many volunteers who dedicated time behind the scenes to help make our program roll EACH week, we thank you.  A lot of sacrifices were made by many parents who considered nothing more than serving TCW and their fellow man with a joyful, selfless heart.   Thank you all for seamlessly carrying out so many important tasks this year without any attention or accolades.  If you know who I’m talking about – please – let’s take just a minute or 2 of our time this weekend to send a word of thanks to our TCW JH angels.  You made a difference and you helped us all shine.  May God bless, guide and protect you always.

You 8th graders who have been with our program for 2 – 3 years and have played in some great football games – wins and losses alike – we salute you.   We thank you for your gift and example of faith, character and leadership among your teammates.  Your words and actions over the last 2 – 3 years spoke a volume of Gospel messages for our program.  You are our heroes – and God will reward you deeply, I promise.

We are so proud of our Warriors and so grateful to our coaches and families for an amazing season.
