About the Author: Claire Alderson

I interviewed, eighth grader Fischer Bettis for the ninth part of our Get to Know the Eighth Graders series.

Claire: Do you have a pregame routine?

Fischer: Yes, I do. I just get mentally ready. I get in a quiet room and think about plays, and then I’ll stretch.

Claire: What do you listen to pregame?

Fischer: I guess like whatever gets you hyped up, like hype music.

Claire: What positions do you play?

Fischer: I play Defensive End.

Claire: What do you enjoy about those positions?
