Interview with Senior Will Cseszko
About the Author – Ella Hippel
I interviewed senior Will Cseszko about real brotherhood, why being a lineman would be cool, and more.
Ella: How long have you been playing football and how has it had an impact on your life?
Will: I started my sophomore year, so this is my third year playing football. It has definitely showed me what real brotherhood is. Just having to rely on other people other than yourself. It’s a team effort and you get close with everybody because you’re there like five days a week.
Ella: What’s the best play you’ve ever made?
Will: Probably in the game against Brazos Christian when the one dude was running on the sideline and I hit him pretty hard. Either that one or the first game against Yates on special teams when I got the returner on the 25 or the 30 yard line.
Ella: If you could play any other position, what would it be and why?
Will: I feel like being a lineman would be cool because you get to be bigger than everybody else and get to pancake people.
Ella: Do you have a pregame playlist, and if you do, what’s on it?
Will: I don’t really have a pregame playlist but I guess any gym TikTok song or like the song “Pass the Dutchie”. The one that’s in the new Stranger Things season. It’s so good.
Ella: What are you looking forward to most this season?
Will: I guess because I’m a senior this year I’m looking forward to being able to help and mentor the younger dudes that are either just starting or came up from junior high that may need help with their position or something. Just being able to get close with everybody else.
Ella: After a game, where are you going out to eat and what are you ordering?
Will: I like it when the team goes to a Mexican restaurant and I can get a nice fat burrito after because you know after two straight hours you get a little hungry.
Ella: What is your main goal for the offseason and how do you plan to achieve that goal?
Will: My main goal right now is to get my shoulder better; I’ve been having shoulder problems. But other than that, just getting stronger; eventually hit the 1,000 lb club and be the strongest safety.
