Tomball Christian has been away from home for two games now, but on Friday they’ll finally make their return. They will welcome the Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Tomball Christian HomeSchool’s defense has only allowed 15.5 points per game this season, so Fort Bend Christian Academy’s offense will have their work cut out for them.

Tomball Christian HomeSchool’s usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Friday’s struggle, when East Bernard offense got past them. Tomball Christian HomeSchool came up short against East Bernard on Friday, falling 35-14. The Warriors’ loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Although Tomball Christian HomeSchool took the loss, they still got scores from Daniel Abraham and Owen Wilkins.

Even if they lost, Tomball Christian HomeSchool’s defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Jacob Muhle was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 6 total tackles per game. Jeremiah Wilkins was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Bend Christian Academy). They simply couldn’t be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Liberal Arts & Science Academy – Austin 70-0 at home. The Eagles pushed the score to 63-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raptors had no chance of recovering from.

Fort Bend Christian Academy’s defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Jack Malone, Nicolas Lara, and Lara picked up one apiece. Lara is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he’s now made nine or more in the last four games he’s played dating back to last season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Fort Bend Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. That’s the most rushing yards they’ve managed all season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tomball Christian HomeSchool fell to 3-1. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
