Tomball Christian Comes Up Short
Tomball Christian has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 15.5 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 35-14 to the East Bernard Brahmas. The loss was the Warriors’ first of the season.
Although Tomball Christian HomeSchool took the loss, they still got scores from Daniel Abraham and Owen Wilkins.
Even if they lost, Tomball Christian HomeSchool’s defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Jacob Muhle with two. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 6 total tackles per game. Tomball Christian HomeSchool got some further help from Jeremiah Wilkins: he picked up a sack and made 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Having lost for the first time this season, Tomball Christian HomeSchool fell to 3-1. As for East Bernard, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Tomball Christian HomeSchool will challenge Fort Bend Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tomball Christian HomeSchool’s defense has only allowed 15.5 points per game this season, so Fort Bend Christian Academy’s offense will have their work cut out for them. As for East Bernard, they will take on Van Vleck at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Bernard knows how to get points on the board — the team has finished with 31 point or more in their past four matchups — so hopefully Van Vleck likes a good challenge.
